Full Professor of Surgery, Medical and Innovation Director and Secretary of the BJS Society
Julio Mayol is one of the most influential people in Spain according to the newspaper El Mundo.
He is a professor of surgery at the Complutense University and head of the Office of Medicine and Innovation of the Clinical Hospital and has an extensive career in Health.
He is Secretary of the Board of Directors of BJS; British Journal of Surgery and is also a member of the World Journal of Gastroenterology.
Due to his professional work, Dr. Mayol received the Prize of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Spain, the Fenin and Fujitsu Prize for Innovation and recognition as the best researcher of the Year, in 2015.
